MArch + MFA Dual Degree program . University at Buffalo - SUNY

curriculum

The media, architecture and computing program provides an interdiscplinary curriculum that begins in the first year with an emphasis on introducing the ideas, techniques and methods fundamental to the field of inquiry. In the same year a studio component provides the context to tie this knowledge and skillset to collaborative work. The second year opens the student up to more independent choices through electives, by which students begin to define their areas of focus. The third and final year incorporates directed research resulting in an independent thesis project.

This program combines the 2-year accredited M.Arch. and the M.F.A. for a total of 94 credit hours for applicants holding an undergaduate degree in Architecture, or the 3.5-year accredited M.Arch. and the M.F.A. for a total of 145 credit hours for students for applicants coming from other fields.
